Signal Circuit Inspection

Check voltage
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect IATS connector.
2. IG "ON" and ENG "OFF"
3. Measure voltage between terminal 4 of the IATS harness connector and chassis ground.
  1. Specification: Approx. 5V

4. Is the measured voltage within specification?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  - Go to " 2 Check for short to ground in harness" procedure.
Check for short to ground in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect IATS connector and PCM connector.
2. Measure resistance between terminal 4 of the IATS harness connector and chassis ground.
3. Measure resistance between terminals 4 and 5 of the IATS harness connector.
4. Measure resistance between terminals 4 and 3 of the IATS harness connector.
  1. Specification: Infinite
