Component Inspection

2010 Kia Rondo LX, 2.7 6SECTION Component Inspection
  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON".
  2. Measure signal voltage between terminal "3,4,5" of the steering wheel angle sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
    1. Specification : HIGH : 2.9Β±0.1V ~ 4.4Β±0.1V LOW : 1.2Β±0.1V ~ 2.1Β±0.1V

  3. Is the measured signal waveform within specifications?

    YES

    1. Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in steering sensor harness and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.

    NO

    1. Substitute with a known-good steering angle sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace steering angle sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
