Repair Procedures: Removal
2010 Kia Magentis LX, 2.4 8, StandardSECTION Removal
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly (A).
- Remove the ECM/PCM. Refer to POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) or ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) .
- Disconnect the brake tubes from the HECU by unlocking the nuts counterclockwise with a spanner.
Tightening torque:Β
ABS: 12.7-16.7 N.m (1.3-1.7 kgf.m, 9.4-12.3 lb-ft
ESC: 18.6-22.6 N.m (1.9-2.3 kgf.m, 13.7-16.6 lb-ft
- Pull up the lock of the ABS control unit 26P connector, then disconnect the connector.
- Remove the front wheel guard.
- Loosen the ABS HECU bracket bolt (1EA) and nuts (2EA), then remove HECU and bracket.
Tightening torque:Β
16.7-25.5 N.m (1.7-2.6 kgf.m, 12.3-18.8 lb-ft)
