Bus Bar Repair
1996 Kia Sephia RS, 1.6 3SECTION Bus Bar Repair
- Using steel wool, clean bus bar in area to be soldered. Using a heat lamp, preheat glass in repair area to 122-140Β°F (50-60Β°C). Apply resin flux paste on bus bar terminal. Using ice pick or similar tool, position terminal to bus bar and hold in place.
- Apply soldering iron to terminal until solder flows. Once solder flows, quickly remove iron to avoid damaging bus bar. DO NOTΒ use rear window defogger until repair has completely cooled.
