Diagnostic Test

2024 Jeep Wagoneer L Carbide, RWDSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN 
    1. With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECU's) and record on the repair order.
    2. For future reference, with the scan tool, run and save a vehicle Scan Report and all related recorded data.
    3. With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10.0 seconds.
    5. Turn the ignition on.
    6. Using the When Monitored and Set Conditions above and recorded data, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    7. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK MOUNTING AND CONDITION OF THE WHEEL ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Inspect the Acceleration Sensor for the following conditions:
      • Damage to the sensor
      • Mounted correctly and securely to the frame (Example - not mounted upside down).
      • Damaged connector lock.
      • Bent terminal pins.
      • Corrosion
    2. Correct any mounting or wiring concerns, if any.
    3. With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10.0 seconds.
    5. Turn the ignition on.
    6. Using the When Monitored and Set Conditions above and recorded data, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    7. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Is the DTC still active?

      Yes 

      • Go to  3

      No 

  3. REPLACE THE WHEEL ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Replace the Acceleration Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, ACTIVE DAMPING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
    2. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs in the ASCM.
    3. With the scan tool, read the DTCs in the ASCM.

      Does the DTC remain active after replacing the Sensor?

      Yes 

      No
