System Overview

2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited, RWDSECTION System Overview

The Suspension consists of 4 air springs and a reservoir. Each of these components has air lines that go back to a compressor. On this vehicle, the Compressor, Valves and Air Suspension Control Module (ASCM) are integrated into one unit.

The Air Suspension Control uses four ride height sensors to determine the vehicle height. When leveling, the air suspension compressor will move air from the springs to the reservoir and vice versa to independently level each corner up or down.

The Air Suspension Control Module (ASCM) also has an Semi-Active damping system integrated. It consist 3 body acceleration sensors and 2 hub acceleration sensors.

For more detailed information, Refer to AIR SUSPENSION, DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION .
