PERFORM THE ESM VERIFICATION TEST
- Reinstall any removed components.
- Reconnect any disconnected electrical connectors.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- With the scan tool, display the Transmission Temperature.
- Start the engine and allow the Transmission fluid temperature to reach 43°C (110°F).
- With the brakes applied, slowly change the Shifter position to each of the available positions.
- The Shift indicators should indicate the correct position for each of the available positions.
- With the scan tool, read ESM DTCs and record on the repair order.
Did any ESM DTCs set?
Yes
- Repair ESM DTCs. Refer to DTC TROUBLESHOOTING .
No
- Test complete.
