The BSCM is bolted to the Hydraulic Assembly. The BSCM monitors several inputs used for normal vehicle braking as well as detection and operation of anti-lock braking, traction, and electronic stability controls. The signals that are monitored are listed below. The BSCM directly monitors the signals for operating the:

  • Brake Pedal Position Sensor(s)
  • Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor (non-eBooster System)
  • Brake Pedal Simulator Pressure Sensor (eBooster System)
  • Hydraulic pressure sensors in each hydraulic circuit
  • Wheel Speed Sensors
  • Steering Angle Sensor
  • Dynamic Sensor

These inputs are used to control the following output devices:

  • Motor/actuator
  • Hydraulic pump
  • Inlet Check Valves
  • Outlet Check Valves
