In the event of an electrical system malfunction, or liftgate malfunction the liftgate can be opened manually using the following procedure.
- From inside the vehicle locate the release slot at the bottom of the liftgate.
- Insert a small flat bladed tool or equivalent in the slot and rotate towards the right side of the vehicle and open the liftgate.
