Exhaust Muffler: Removal

2023 Jeep Compass SportSECTION Removal
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

    1 - Exhaust Pipe Clamp
    2 - Exhaust Muffler Assembly
    3 - Exhaust Isolator
  2. Loosen the nut on the exhaust pipe clamp.
  3. Place a suitable hydraulic lift under the exhaust muffler.
  4. Remove the center bolts securing the lower rear fascia.
  5. Remove the exhaust isolators.
  6. Separate the exhaust resonator from the exhaust muffler assembly and remove.
