Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Theory Of Operation
When Left or Right Turn Signal Lamp illumination is requested, the Left Multi-Function Switch sends a hard-wired signal to the Body Control Module (BCM). When the BCM receives this signal, the BCM provides a Pulsed Width Modulated (PWM) voltage, through the Front and Rear Turn Lamp Driver circuits to the Front Lamp Assemblies and Rear Tail Lamp Assemblies and if equipped, through the Mirror Turn Signal Driver circuits to the Driver or Passenger Exterior Rearview Mirrors.
