- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the push pins (1) and the fasteners (2) from rear bumper lower fascia to gain access to the HFE liftgate module.
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) from the Hands Free Entry (HFE) liftgate module (3).
- Remove the fastener (2) securing the HFE liftgate module (3) to the HFE sensor bracket.
- Remove the HFE liftgate module from the vehicle.
