Module, Hands Free Liftgate: Removal: Module

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the push pins (1) and the fasteners (2) from rear bumper lower fascia to gain access to the HFE liftgate module.

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) from the Hands Free Entry (HFE) liftgate module (3).
  4. Remove the fastener (2) securing the HFE liftgate module (3) to the HFE sensor bracket.
  5. Remove the HFE liftgate module from the vehicle.
