- Siphon the power steering reservoir.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Refer to CABLES, BATTERY, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the two EHPS pump electrical connectors and the wiring harness to bracket routing clip.
- Disconnect the supply and return lines from the EHPS pump.
- Remove the pressure and return line routing clip bolt from the pump bracket.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- If equipped, remove the front skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- Remove the pressure line retaining bolt and line from the EHPS pump.
- Loosen the routing clip retaining bolt and position the pressure line aside for access to remove the pump.
- Remove the three EHPS pump retaining bolts and remove the pump from the vehicle.
- Remove and transfer any necessary components.
