- Place the E-clutch in a suitable arbor press.
- Using (special tool #10429, Gauge, Force) (1) and (special tool #8901A, Pressing Tool) (3) apply 200 N (45 lbs.) to the backing plate of the E-clutch.
- Using a set of feeler gauges (2), measure the gap between the backing plate and the retainer of the E-clutch.
- Refer to the clutch measurements table for specifications. If clearance is not within specifications, a thinner or thicker selectable backing plate can be installed to achieve proper clearance.
