PCM PROGRAMMED WITH INCORRECT SOFTWARE
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- Program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to PCM/ECM REPROGRAMMING - GAS .
- Start the engine.
- Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
- With a scan tool, select read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display U0300-INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITY?
Yes
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has been successfully programmed. Test is complete.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
