Set Condition
A comparison of the Throttle Valve desired (position) and actual (position) is called the Offset. The PCM monitors the difference between the offset during the last drive cycle and the first learned offset (this drive cycle). This DTC will set if the closed position or open position differences are greater than or less than a calibrated threshold. This is a one Trip Fault.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
