- CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
- With the scan tool, clear all the DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- VERIFY THE BCM IS INSTALLED IN THE CORRECT VEHICLE
- With the scan tool, read the VIN in the ECU Details.
- Compare the VIN in the BCM to the vehicle.
Do the VINs match?
Yes
- Check the repair history for any changes that required a configuration update. Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- The BCM is installed on the wrong vehicle or the BCM was configured incorrectly. Reinstall the BCM on the correct vehicle or replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
