2014 Jeep Compass Limited, AWD, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Diagnostic Test

TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 

  1. Put the key in the ignition and turn the ignition on.
  2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
  3. Operate the RKE transmitter in all positions several times.
  4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

    Does the scan tool display this code as active?

    Yes 

    • Replace the RKE transmitter and program in accordance with Service Information.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

    No 

    • The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Inform the owner of the most probable cause for this code to set and therefore cause the RKE system to be inoperative.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
