2014 Jeep Compass Limited, AWD, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Diagnostic Test

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DTCS PRESENT 

  1. With the scan tool, read PCM Brake DTCs.

    Are there any PCM Brake DTCs present?

    Yes 

    • Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to the DTC INDEX article .

    No 

    • Using the schematics as a guide, check the PCM terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits.
    • Perform the appropriate VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to the appropriate TESTING & DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE .
