- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .
- Remove the retainers (1) and remove the reinforcement plate (2).
- Remove the upper power inverter retainers (1).
- Remove the lower power inverter retainers (1) and disconnect the wiring connector (2) from the power inverter module and remove from the vehicle.
