Diagnostic Test
- CHARGING SYSTEM DTCS PRESENTÂ
- BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTCS PRESENTÂ
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in the BCM.
Are there any BCM DTCs present?
YesÂ
- Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
NoÂ
- Go To  3
- VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVEÂ
- (F946) IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN/START) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGEÂ

- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the PDC Auxiliary C2 harness connector.
- Disconnect the DTCM harness connector.
- Measure the voltage between (F943) Ignition Switch Output (RUN/START) circuit and ground in the DTCM harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
YesÂ
- Repair the (F946) Ignition Switch Output (RUN/START) circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the DTCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDUREÂ .
NoÂ
- Go To  5
- (F946) IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN/START) VOLTAGEÂ

- DRIVE TRAIN CONTROL MODULE (DTCM)Â NOTE:
Before continuing, check the DTCM harness connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Repair as necessary.
- Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wire harness and connectors.
- Pay particular attention to all Power and Ground circuits.

RepairÂ
- Replace the Drive Train Control Module (DTCM) in accordance with Service Information. Refer to MODULE, DRIVETRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the DTCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDUREÂ .
- POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER (PDC) AUXILIARYÂ NOTE:
Before continuing, check the PDC Auxiliary harness connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Repair as necessary.
- Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wire harness and connectors.
- Pay particular attention to all Power and Ground circuits.

RepairÂ
- Replace the Power Distribution Center (PDC) Auxiliary in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the DTCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDUREÂ .
- INTERMITTENT WIRING AND CONNECTORSÂ
- The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this circuit.
- Wiggle test the wiring harness and connectors while checking for shorted and open circuits.
- Using the scan tool, monitor the data related to this circuit while performing the wiggle test. Look for the data to change or for the DTC to reset.
Were there any problems found?
YesÂ
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the DTCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDUREÂ .
NoÂ
- Test Complete.
