Power Windows (Service Information): Description: Description

2011 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, StandardSECTION Description

The power window system allows each of the door windows to be raised and lowered electrically by actuating a switch on the instrument panel center bezel, or on the rear bezel of the center floor console. A master switch on the instrument panel allows the driver to raise or lower each of the passenger door windows and to lock out the individual switches on the passenger doors from operation. The power window system receives battery feed through a circuit breaker, only when the ignition switch is in the On position.

The power window system includes the power window switches, the circuit breaker, and the power window motors inside each door. The power switches are similar in design and function, and are serviced in similar manners. The power motors are similar as well and can be serviced separately from the window regulators.
