- Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the upper rear headliner trim.
- For the upper lift gate in/out adjustments, loosen the two hinge to header bolts and four nuts and adjust to specifications. Refer to FRAME/BODY DIMENSIONS , GAP AND FLUSH, SPECIFICATIONS.
- Tighten the hinge bolts to 15 Nm (11 lbf-ft).
- Position the headliner back into place and seat the push pin fasteners fully.
- Remove the liftgate scuff plate. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, LIFTGATE, REMOVALΒ .
- For the lower lift gate adjustments, loosen the striker screws (4) and adjust to specifications Refer to FRAME/BODY DIMENSIONS , GAP AND FLUSH, SPECIFICATIONS.
- Tighten the striker screws to 23 Nm (17 lbf-ft).
- Install the liftgate scuff plate. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, LIFTGATE, INSTALLATIONΒ .
- Position the upper rear headliner trim and seat fully.
