Diagnostic Test

2009 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, StandardSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Turn the Courtesy Lamps on.
    3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE (M24) COURTESY LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Dome Lamp.
    3. Disconnect the Cargo Lamp (4 door).
    4. Disconnect the Cluster C2 harness connector.
    5. Measure the resistance between ground and the (M24) Courtesy Lamp Driver circuit.

      Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  3
  3. CHECK THE (M24) COURTESY LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

    1. Measure the resistance of the (M24) Courtesy Lamp Driver circuit.

      Is the resistance above 5 Ohms?

      Yes 

      No
