Diagnostic Test

2009 Jeep Liberty Limited, 4WD, Part TimeSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
    3. Turn the rear defogger ON.
    4. Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
    5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display: B1D38-PASSENGER MIRROR HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. TEST FOR A SHORTED MIRROR 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C2 connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
    5. Turn the rear defogger ON.
    6. Operate the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
    7. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display: B1D38-PASSENGER MIRROR HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      No
