Spark Plug: Removal: 5.7L

- Remove all the necessary air filter tubing and air intake components at the top of the engine and at the throttle body. Refer to Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal
- Prior to removing the ignition coil, spray compressed air around the base of the ignition coil at the cylinder head.
- Remove the ignition coil (1). See Removal .
- Prior to removing the spark plug, spray compressed air into the cylinder head opening.
- Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head using a quality thin wall socket with a rubber or foam insert.
- Inspect the spark plug condition.
