Diagnostic Test

2008 Jeep Commander Overland, 4WDSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. CHECK DTCS 

    With the scan tool, read DTCs.

    Are there any TIPM TCM Power Control Circuit or TCM Power Input DTCs present? 

    Yes 

    1. Refer to the DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX  and perform the appropriate symptom.

    No 

    1. Go to  2.
  2. CHECK IF DTC P0770 IS PRESENT 

    Ignition on, engine not running.

    With the scan tool, erase all Transmission DTCs.

    Turn the ignition off to the lock position.

    Remove the Starter Relay.

    CAUTION: Removal of the Starter Relay will prevent the vehicle from being started in gear.
