  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the trim panel from the liftgate (1). See REMOVALΒ .

  3. Position the watershield aside to gain access to the latch.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the latch (2).

  5. Disconnect the latch cable from the liftgate handle and separate the support clips.
  6. Remove the three screws (2) that secure the latch (1) to the liftgate.
  7. Remove the liftgate latch (1) from the vehicle.
