Crankshaft Main Bearing
2002 Jeep Liberty Limited Edition 2WD V6-3.7L VIN KSECTION Crankshaft Main Bearing
1. Install the bedplate retaining bolts, making sure to place the stud bolts in the correct location. Torque the bolts in the sequence shown.
2. Hand tighten bolts 1D, 1G and 1F until the bedplate contacts the block.
3. Tighten bolts 1 - 8 to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Tighten bolts 1A - 1J to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
5. Tighten bolts A - E to 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.).
6. Turn bolts 1 - 8 an additional 66 °.
7. Turn bolts 1D, 1G and 1F an additional 42 °.
8. Turn bolts 1A, 1B, 1C, 1E, 1H, 1I and 1J an additional 36 °.
9. Turn bolts A - E an additional 32 °.
