Air Bag Control Module (ACM): Installation
1997 Jeep Cherokee SE, 4D Utility, 4.0 S, 4WD, StandardSECTION Installation
- Ensure ACM housing arrow is pointed forward and attach ACM to floor plan mounting bracket with three nuts. Tighten to specification, see TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Plug in wire harness connector to ACM and ensure connector latches are fully engaged. Position ACM protective cover over ACM and ensure wire harness retainer is correctly installed in slotted hole of ACM protective cover. Secure with screws and tighten to specification.
- To complete installation, reverse remaining removal procedures. DO NOT connect negative battery cable at this time. Check for proper system function. See TESTING - SYSTEM OPERATION CHECKΒ .
