Non-Deployed Air Bag Module
DO NOT permit any source of electricity near inflator on back side of an air bag module. Always handle air bag module with trim cover away from your body and place air bag module on workbench with trim cover up, away from loose objects. When working around steering column components and before any repairs are performed, disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
