Alternator Field Sense

The engine controller constantly monitors the alternator field output (alternator output). The signal that the engine controller receives is an indication of what voltage levels are being supplied to the injectors and the ignition coil. The engine controller adjusts the alternator field and injector pulse width based upon the alternator field sense input.
