Cruise Control Servo: Service and Repair

1991 Jeep Cherokee 2WD L4-150 2.5L VIN P MFISECTION Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose, then the electrical connector from servo.
3. Remove two nuts from mounting bracket, then pull servo away from bracket.
4. Remove, then discard push nuts from servo studs.
5. Pull speed control cable away from servo just far enough to expose cable retaining pin, then remove pin.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Hold throttle in the full open position while installing pin. Torque both attaching nuts to 50 inch lbs.
