Piston & Rod Assembly: Removal
Remove cylinder head and oil pan. Remove any ridge or deposits from upper end of cylinder bore. Mark connecting rod and piston for cylinder identification. Remove bearing cap and cover rod bolts with protective rubber hose. Remove piston and rod assembly through top of cylinder block.
