- Disconnect battery ground cable. Raise vehicle. Remove 2 starter mounting bolts. Allow starter motor to drop.
- Remove shim, lead wires and battery cable from solenoid (attached to starter). To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure shim is installed in original location.
