Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

- If engine will not start, test for correct supply voltage at fuel shutoff solenoid wire harness connector with ignition on. Voltmeter reading should be at least 8 volts.
- If voltage is correct, remove fuel shutoff solenoid from injection pump. Connect a jumper wire between battery positive terminal and fuel shutoff solenoid connector terminal.
- Connect another jumper wire to battery negative terminal and gently contact shutoff solenoid housing. Solenoid should click. Replace solenoid if necessary.
