- Remove release fork and bearing. Remove clutch housing bolts. Separate clutch housing from transmission case.
- Use Torx bit to remove detent plug. Use pencil magnet to remove detent spring and ball. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Remove 5 bolts and the nut holding adapter housing to intermediate plate.
- Remove shift arm set bolt and lock plate. Remove shift arm pivot shaft plug from back of adapter housing. Using a large magnet, remove shift arm pivot shaft. Use plastic hammer to tap and remove extension or adapter housing from intermediate plate.
- Remove front bearing retainer snap rings. Use plastic hammer to tap and remove intermediate plate and front bearing retainer. Remove transmission case.
