- Place shift selector in "PARK" and loosen adjustable swivel lock screw making sure it is not restricted. Move shift lever on transmission all the way to rear (park position), then tighten swivel lock screw.
- Check adjustment by moving shift selector. Detents for "DRIVE" and "NEUTRAL" should be within limits of selector gate stops. Starter should operate only with selector in "PARK" or "NEUTRAL".
