- Turn ignition on. Visually inspect throttle function. Is throttle function okay? If yes, go to next step. If no, check possible throttle blade or Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) fault. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONSΒ .
- Check air intake system. Ensure air cleaner is not obstructed. Ensure air meter-to-throttle body seal and engine breather-to-inlet duct seals are okay. Check for air leakage at throttle body. Check vacuum system. Repair as necessary.
