- Verify customer concern. Confirm which, if any, warning lights and/or messages were displayed on the instrument cluster. See Figure.
- Ensure battery and charging system are operating properly. Record DTCs and freeze-frame data. See RETRIEVING CODES .
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.
- Perform appropriate drive cycle to confirm repair. See DRIVE CYCLES . Recheck for DTCs.

When to See a Mechanic
