Possible Causes
The Systems Readiness Test is accessed from the PDU menu structure. PDU will report if any portion of the Systems Readiness Test has not been completed. The following less frequently performed test are identified as incomplete:
- Module $11 (identifies EMS ECM).
- Catalyst.
- O2 sensor.
- O2 sensor heaters.
Further confirmation of the System Readiness Test status is available by retrieving the stored DTCs. If DTC P1000 is set in memory, the on-board diagnostic tests have not been completed. If DTC P1111 is set in memory, all on-board diagnostic tests have been completed. When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
