2006 Isuzu Ascender S, 5.3 M, 4WDSECTION Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the infrared transmitter module.
  2. Test for less than 5 Ξ© between the ground circuit terminal 12 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, test for B+ between the accessory voltage circuit terminal 4 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the accessory voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. DVD playing, test for AC voltage between the following signal circuit terminals listed below and ground.
    • Left DVD audio signal (+) - terminal 1
    • DVD audio common (-) - terminal 2
    • Right DVD audio signal (+) - terminal 3
    • If AC voltage is not present, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the infrared transmitter module.
