Preliminary Procedures: Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
1 Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Electrical Connector
2 Brake Pipes Clip (Qty: 2)
Tip:  Before working on the brake pipes, release the locking tab on the retaining clip.
3 Brake Pipe Fitting (Qty: 6)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Before removing the brake pipes from the ABS module, clean all dirt and debris from the ABS module.
  2. Cap the brake pipe fittings and plug the BPMV inlet and outlet port to prevent brake fluid leaks and contamination.
  3. Bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .

Tighten:  25 N.m (18 lb ft)
4 BPMV Bracket Bolt (Qty: 3)

Tighten:  20 N.m (15 lb ft)
5 BPMV Bolt

Tighten:  11 N.m (97 lb in)
6 BPMV Bracket
