Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the driver seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the left carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  3. Remove the left lower center pillar molding. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .
  4. Move the carpet back enough to gain access to the communication interface module battery.
1 Communication Interface Module Battery Nut (Qty: 3)

Tighten:Β  10 N.m (89 lb in)

2 Communication Interface Module Battery
Tip:Β  Disconnect the electrical connector.
