Installation Procedure
2006 Isuzu Ascender S, 5.3 M, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Pontiac Torrent and 2008 Chevrolet Equinox. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the starter motor (1).
- Install the starter motor bolts (2, 3).
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).
- Install the torque converter cover (1).
- Install the torque converter cover bolt (2).
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
- Install the engine wiring harness terminal (1) and the positive battery cable terminal (2) to the starter solenoid.
- Install the starter solenoid nut (3).
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (4) to the starter.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
