2006 Isuzu Ascender S, 5.3 M, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

- Position the generator (2) to the engine.
- Loosely install the generator bolts (1).
- Install the idler pulley (3). Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
- Tighten the generator bolts.
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Install the generator wiring harness (2) terminal to the generator.
- Install the generator wiring harness nut (3) to the generator.
Tighten:Β Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Position the generator wiring harness boot (1) at the generator terminal.
- Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the generator.
- Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
