CAUTION:
When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
- Open and support the liftgate window.NOTE: Refer to LIFTGATE ASSIST ROD NOTICE .
- Lift up the retainer clips on the liftgate window struts using a small flat-bladed tool.
- Remove the upper end of the liftgate window struts from the ball joint.
- Remove the lower end of the liftgate window struts from the ball joint.
- Remove the liftgate window struts from the liftgate window.
