Removal Procedure

2006 Isuzu Ascender S, 4.2 S, 4WDSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect ProcedureΒ .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 4.2L.

  4. Disconnect the battery positive cable nut (1) on the generator.

  6. Remove the A/C line mounting bracket bolt at the engine life hook.

  8. Remove the right engine lift hook bolts and remove the lift hook.

  10. Remove the 3 generator mounting bolts and remove the generator.
