- Verify that all electrical components are off such as interior lights, all doors are closed, the underhood lamp, etc.
- Clean any corrosion from the negative battery cable using a wire brush.
- Position the negative battery cable (5) to the battery.NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
- Tighten negative battery cable bolt.
Tighten:Β Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
