Removal & Disassembly
1997 Isuzu Oasis SSECTION Removal & Disassembly
- Support and Raise vehicle. Drain engine oil. Rotate crankshaft counterclockwise until No. 1 piston is at TDC of compression stroke. Remove timing belt and timing balancer belt. See TIMING BELT & TIMING BALANCER BELTΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove belt tensioners and CKP/TDC sensor.
- Remove balancer belt driven pulley, balancer gear case and balancer driven gear. Remove oil pan and pick-up screen. Remove pump housing/front cover assembly. See Figure. Remove pump cover from pump rotors. Remove oil seals and "O" rings.
